Heptode Virtual Pedals brings the sound and response of three Heptode analog effects pedals to your computer: Deep Crunch for dynamic overdrive and crunch, Heavy Tone for high-gain distortion, and Virtuoso for classic phaser sounds inspired by the Maestro PS-1A.
Available as VST3 guitar effects plugins for Windows and macOS, and Audio Unit (AU) plugins for macOS, they combine the character of the original pedals with the flexibility of software, for recording and live performance.

FAQ
Where are the plugins installed?
- Windows: Installed in the VST3 default folder ( C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3).
- macOS: Installed in the AU default folder (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components) and the VST3 default folder (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3).
- There is no need to uninstall a previous version; simply install the new version. If you already own an earlier version of Heptode Virtual Pedals, your license key remains valid. After installation, you may simply need to enter it again in the plugin. If you cannot find your license key, please contact Heptode support and we will help you recover it.
How do I control the Input and Output Levels?
- Adjust the global input and output levels using the controls located in the top-left and top-right panels of the interface. Make sure that the output level meter does not reach the red area to avoid distortion.
Is the license valid for the three plugins (Deep Crunch, Heavy Tone, Virtuoso)?
- Yes, the same license is valid for all three plugins.
Is the license valid for all user accounts on the same machine?
- Yes, the same license key is valid for all user accounts on the same machine. However, each user must activate the license individually using the same license key.
Is a License Valid on Multiple Machines?
- No, each license is valid for use on only one machine. Separate licenses are required to use the software on multiple machines.
What should I do if I want to transfer a license to another computer?
- In that case, you need to contact us. We will reset the license activation so that you can activate the software on the new computer.
